I was always in the SPOTLIGHT when I was younger. I started dancing at the age of three, doing tap, jazz, modern, ballet and hula, but it wasn’t until the 5th grade that I found my favorite style of dance. HIP HOP became my first love and will always be close to my heart. My recital costumes could have ended up on E! News Fashion Police’s worst dressed list, but I thought I looked great!
I was also in baton when I was six, so my weekends consisted of dancing and twirling my baton down the streets of Portland, in the Rose Parade. It was so much fun, I thought it was what every six-year-old spent their time doing! I swear six-year-old Bianca was convinced she was going to be FAMOUS.
Fast forward to freshman year of high school, I was still dancing and had just joined my first hip hop company. It was then that I started developing my eye for fashion too. I became obsessed with the latest Nike’s! Every dance competition we had, my best friend and I would scope out the best kicks and knew we had to have them. It was at the time when Air Force Ones were in style. Haha!
So throughout high school I was also in Student Government, ACTING classes in San Francisco, two dance companies and was a captain on the cheer team. I was living the “dream” (or so I thought at 16). However, my senior year I got accepted to college and decided it was time to “get serious” and move on to more “realistic” career choices.
It all changed from there. I pursued a degree in BUSINESS, MARKETING and started getting some corporate experience shortly after. But I just couldn’t shake the feeling that something was missing. I also just couldn’t imagine myself sitting at a desk for the rest of my life, working for someone else.
So not long after my boyfriend started living his dream playing football, did I realized I could document my love for FASHION, TRAVEL & BEAUTY on a blog and hopefully turn it into a business.
So here we are present day and once again “I’m living the life!”. I get to meet amazing people from all over the world, travel to beautiful destinations, attend New York Fashion Weeks, review amazing products and the list goes on! I’m so grateful and I couldn’t imagine my life without this creative outlet. I also hope that I inspire some of you to reach for your dreams too!!
