Birthday in L.A.

As I’ve mentioned before, Los Angeles is one of my FAVORITE places to go. Well, Southern California in general is just always a fun time. This time was another short mini-vacation but that did not hold us back from anything!

For my birthday, my boyfriend took me to the Beverley Hills Painted Woman Nail Salon by Kameco, which is absolutely UH – MAZE – ING!! They have Louboutin nail polish you can choose from (of course for a few extra dollars compared to regular polish), but definitely worth it. It does not stop there though; the salon has beautiful Chanel books and fashion magazines, along with super cute Chanel pillows to go with the royal theme. They also give you an option between orange juice and champagne, which is in a cute pink tall cup with fresh fruit. Their themes do change for special occasions as well. Since they are very festive, they color coordinate their scrubs and soaps with the appropriate holiday. I came after Fourth of July though, so they had their year round options. I went with the flower pedicure which has fresh petals in the bath. They truly went above and beyond and surprised me with a cupcake since they had found out it was my birthday too. This place truly gives the royal treatment.

For dinner we went to Morton’s Steakhouse and they went out of their way as well by creating a custom menu saying “Happy Birthday Bianca” at the top, and capturing the moment with a photo we could take home. Their shrimp is my favorite! Oh, I also got a surprise dessert there too. Delish!

We spent another day walking around Melrose Avenue. My only goal was to go to Bellami Hair to get their extensions that Kylie Jenner and Carli Bybel are seen wearing. I walked in though just to get my heart broken. They have very little selection, and unless you have not died your hair with a golden tone, you won’t find an exact match. It was devastating, but the sales girl was very nice about it and didn’t want to sell me something that didn’t blend 100%. Since Sur Lounge is literally a couple feet away, we HAD to stop to take some pictures in front of the infamous restaurant that stars Stassi and Jax from Vanderpump Rules.

One day was spent at Universal Studios, where I got a MASSIVE Bart Simpson donut that was not nearly finished. I was drooling over the new Harry Potter World that was being built too. Did I mention how much I love Harry Potter?! That’s our secret okay? I was seriously seconds away from buying a wand before my boyfriend convinced me I didn’t need it. Sad right? Anyways, the rest of the night was spent at the Hollywood Sign. That is one beautiful view, let me tell you. I could really spend all day there.

Once again, I leave the beach to the last day. It was sad to say goodbye to the Marriott Hotel which was actually very nice, but I was ready to try Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles for the first time and then head to the Santa Monica Pier on the way home. If you have not tried Roscoe’s, you are missing out on life!! No seriously, find one near you! That meal filled me up and prepped me for the beach day ahead.

Santa Monica Pier was stunning and it was the perfect weather. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to end the trip. The cool breeze, along with lemonade in my right hand, boyfriend on the left was a trip to remember.

Yours Truly,

B
