Simply Stylist NY

When trying something new you always want to be in a warm, supporting, friendly environment right? It also doesn’t hurt when there is fashion, glam and fun involved too! These words describe my experience with Simply Stylist New York this past weekend. For those of you unfamiliar with this conference, it’s all in the name. It’s an event filled with beauty, style, tips, networking, food, and guest speakers.

I wish I had one of those Go Pro’s on my head during the whole event so you could see how truly inspiring it all was. Only thing with that is I probably wouldn’t be winning best dressed if there was an award given out at the end of the night. Hence why I opted out on that bright idea of mine. But I might consider pinning it to my bag the next time I go!

Anyways, let me start from the beginning. Besides having no idea what I was going to wear to this fabulous event, and my Uber driver having no idea how to get to my hotel, I’d say the day started off pretty well. I mean I was in New York City! The Big Apple! Who could complain about that?

So back to the event, the VIP arrived at 9 am sharp to sign in and get name tags etc. After grabbing our binders and complimentary magazines, we were lead to a room in the W Hotel on Lexington Avenue that had brunch ready for us. Breads, bacon, eggs, fruit, juices, you name it! With my food in my right hand, and my magazine and phone in my left, I found a seat next to some friendly bloggers from New Mexico, Canada, New York Native, and London. This part was nice to hear about others experiences and tips they wanted to share to lead everyone to success with their blogs.

The next part was what I was waiting for though!! E! News Host, Catt Sadler would be talking with Olivia Culpo, Miss Universe and I made sure I was front row, right smack in the middle!! I could barely keep my cool, but I wasn’t the only one. They were both just as beautiful as seen on TV. They had very inspirational things to say, as well as another favorites of mine, Cara Santana, actress, blogger, CEO of GlamApp, and Brandi Cyrus, blogger also known as Miley Cyrus’ sister.

Yours Truly,
B
