Do you ever get home from a long day and just think… WOW! I have some pretty amazing people in my life!?
My initial plan after having a 15 hour, jam-packed day, was to come home, change into my leggings and one of DeAndre’s hoodies, brush my teeth, wash my face, plug in my portable charger, grab some water and of course, be passed out in less than 10 minutes.. If you didn’t read my last blogpost, I usually fall asleep around 9/930 pm and being that it’s already 10 pm, I’m clearly running on fumes here! But after the day I had, I just couldn’t go without saying how truly blessed I am to have some extremely inspiring, motivating, kind and friendly people in my life!
I already knew today would be fun, but I didn’t realize the impact it would have, until my drive home. Me and D live outside of San Francisco so it was a 30 minute drive from the event I attended tonight, back to our house. And if you know anything about me, you know I think wayyyy too much.. So naturally, tonight was spent reflecting on my day overall.
Well.. My day started off at Levi’s Stadium for a family mixer, which allowed us to get to know one another better, learn about what to expect on game days, where to park, where our seats were etc. You know, the basics. It then followed by watching practice of course.
While me and D are from the Bay Area and this is obviously where we call home. Where our families are.. And where we grew up, I’ve never felt more at home with any team, more than I do now. And obviously being in a familiar place is a huge contributor, but it’s not the only reason why.
Since day one I’ve felt extremely welcomed by the 49ers organization. They have truly gone above and beyond to make sure I’ve always had what I needed. But the women on this team… (meaning the significant others of the players) have completely welcomed me with open arms. I’ve never experienced any bad encounters on the other teams DeAndre has been on, but these women are something else! I was immediately added into the ladies group thread and it doesn’t stop there. The pure kindness and support these women have shown me in the last three weeks is completely immeasurable and I can’t even begin to explain my gratitude. It’s not always easy going to a new team and trying to make new friends in new cities, but these ladies have made it an absolute joy.
As if that wasn’t enough to make me write this post, I then continued my day by going to the rewardStyle event where all my favorite San Francisco bloggers were. There’s something about being in a room full of creative, inspiring women who also happen to be entrepreneurs that’s just so moving. I’ve been lucky enough to meet and grow close with a handful of them and I just stood there tonight (while I was struggling to make my macrame – check my ig stories haha), thinking about how truly amazing all of them are! These women have some of the kindest souls I’ve ever met.. They challenge me to think outside of the box.. Pushed me to really go for it in terms of starting my blog… They are just serious #goals! Every single one of them… Oh and they are so stylish! Can’t forget that!
So as I wrap up today, I can’t help but think about all the amazing people in my life! Supporting me, uplifting me, welcoming me… I’m just so grateful.. words cannot explain!
