What better day to write this post, than on GAME DAY itself! #GONINERS
As I’ve mentioned a million times before in multiple blog posts (linked here), the San Francisco 49ers organization has been SO welcoming! They have truly gone above and beyond for the families and I couldn’t be more proud that DeAndre plays for such an amazing team!
They’ve shown that they value family in multiple ways throughout the short time we’ve been here and continue to do so by hosting family bbq’s, tailgates and so on. And just the other day they hosted a 49ers Significant Others Luncheon for just us! .. DeAndre was out there getting ready for practice while I was inside drinking a mimosa 😉 haha!
But let’s rewind a bit and start from the beginning of the brunch!… Thennnn we can get back to the mimosas! 😉
So I pull up to Levi’s Stadium and walk across the street to find a staff member waiting to guide me to the elevator. From there I see my friend and we make our way up to the clubhouse…
I just have to say there is the SWEETEST employee who I see EVERY time I’m at D’s work and she is just SOOO kind and helpful! I feel so bad because I can’t remember her name at the moment, but I’ll take a photo with her the next time I see her and will post it on my Instagram stories so you guys can see her too! If you’ve ever been to a niners game, chances are you’ve seen her before!!.. Whether it was at an open practice, or in an elevator, or even outside by security! She does it all and always has a smile on her face! So of course, we get in the elevator and she’s there!! And as soon as she sees me, she says “Okay this is DeAndre Carter’s elevator!” She’s just way too cute!!! .. I’m clearly getting distracted like always haha but its people like her that make this team feel like family!
But anyways, we finally get up to the clubhouse and check in at the front table. From there, we head over to the bar and grab some fruity mimosas… Yep, we’ve made it back to the mimosas! And some of you are probably thinking “I thought she said she doesn’t really drink?”, that is true! I’m not a fan of the taste of alcohol, or the calories, or the hangover feeling after! haha. But this mimosa was super light and had a cute strawberry, with a red sugar rim so I thought I’d try it!
From there we made our way over to the tables to put our bags down, before grabbing some food. Each table had two bags for each person. One bag was from Kendra Scott.. y’all know I love Kendra! And if you watch my stories, y’all also know D loves Kendra too 😉 JK.. haha! I held an event at the Kendra Scott in Walnut Creek, in July and he came to support of course, and I happened to take a picture at the perfect time of him looking at the jewelry, so the joke in the store is “D loves Kendra too”.. I’ll post that photo below!
And the other bag at our table was another clear 49ers bag for the games. I mentioned in one of my latest post how the NFL has the clear bag policy, so they were so kind to give us another (they already gave us one at another family function). And they stuffed it with some goodies too!
I was ready for some food by this time though, (having skipped breakfast) so I went to make a plate. They had everything from beignets, to fruit, to sandwiches, to sushi, to salad, to pizza.. the list goes on!
From there we had a guest speaker talk to us about how to deal with stress.. which was PERFECT for me if you’ve read my last blog post . This lifestyle has so many up’s and down’s and no guarantees, and as a person who likes to be in control of everything, it sometimes take a huge toll on me.. So I genuinely enjoyed this portion of the brunch.
The 49ers Community Relations team also went over charity events that we can participate in this season, which was a highlight for me as well. Philanthropy is a huge passion of mine and I hope to create my own charity down the road. If y’all have any charities you’re a part of, please please send them my way! I’d love to get involved where I can!
As for the rest of the brunch, we stayed a little while after the presentations to mingle and visit the booths they set up, then we were off!
It’s always so nice seeing all the ladies and I can’t wait to meet up again! xo
Oh and the game starts at 1:25pm PST y’all! Get your snacks ready!
