Why I Went MIA..

Wow! I know what you’re all thinking.. “When’s the last time Bianca wrote a blog post??”

Honestly.. it’s been AWHILE! .. TOO long! So I thought I’d catch you up on a few things that have been going on in my life, in case you don’t follow me on Instagram.

Sooo first off, the end of September/entire month of October was a complete whirlwind (hence being MIA). DeAndre had three away games in 4 weeks.. so that’s an adjustment in and of itself.. and two of those three were on the East Coast so he left on a Friday morning and wouldn’t get back until Sunday night, compared to leaving on a Saturday and coming back on a Sunday.

While this little weekend break from your significant other might not sound that bad to you, I dread it! I don’t get to see DeAndre very much during the week as it is, so the weekends are usually our time to hang for an extra hour or two, in between meetings, games and curfew… Yes. You read that right. Curfew.

The night before game days they have to stay in a hotel whether they are home or away, and they have curfew. So with all of these away games, plus D leaving the house each day around 4 am during the week and not getting home until around 6-8 pm, there is very little “us” time during the season.

But his hard work and dedication is a huge part of why we get along so well. As I’ve said in many blog posts before, we were built the same way… So I’ve learned to accept the long hours he puts in.

But I do try soak up as much time as possible with him when he’s free.. even if that’s just binge watching the latest Black List episode, or having a game night at home, playing my new favorite game, “codenames”. And if you’re sitting here wondering what codenames is, you HAVE to play it! I got D hooked! 😉 If you want to check it out, I’ve linked it here for you. YOU’RE WELCOME!

But anyways.. let’s get back to why I’ve been MIA!

And in order to do so, we’ll have to throw moving into the equation! The three weeks leading up to our move happened to be the three away games, so I was handling it all on my own.. Getting movers, transferring PG&E, packing, getting boxes, arranging walk-throughs, setting up new services in the new house.. the list went on! You can say my stress level was at a 9/10.

LUCKILLLLLYYY my mom lives an hour and a half away, so she made two trips down to help me pack. She came the first weekend D was gone and then again the last weekend D was gone (the day before moving day!).

We ended up only packing like 4 boxes the first time she came to visit. It was more of a fun visit with her, my little sis, my niece and myself LOL! But the second visit.. It was crunch time! We packed EVERYTHINGGG that Sunday.. I honestly don’t know how me and D had that much stuff in our house. And I don’t know how I would have been able to pack all of that without my momma! She’s the REAL MVP!

OH! And you know those fires that happened in Sonoma County a few weeks ago?? Did I mention my mom lives right smack in the middle of them?! And she was still coming to help me while all of this was going on! Talk about STRESS on STRESS on STRESS!! I couldn’t be more grateful for their safety! I’ll never forget that morning… Waking up to a text from one of my best friends asking if my family is okay… What the HELL?! (excuse my language)… but really though.. What did she mean is my family okay?! Seconds after calling my mom, I found out the entire city was burning down as we spoke… My hometown literally in flames..

There are still no words for all of the devastation the wildfires created.. There never will be.. I’m heartbroken for those who lost their lives and heartbroken for those who lost their homes, schools and businesses..

While my family didn’t lose their home, many people did.. So if you are able to, PLEASE donate!!!! I will be forever grateful!! Here is the link to the American Red Cross. Just use the dropdown tab to select “California Wildfires”.

THANK YOU!!!

So with D being gone, trying to pack up the whole house, my family and friends dealing with the fires and seeing a new tragedy happen around the country every other week, I just haven’t been feeling too motivated to write a post. I didn’t think posting my outfit, or a tropical vacation or new beauty products I thought “you needed to buy” was fitting, so I just kind of went … MIA. I hope y’all can understand.

I’ll be back in action moving forward though and I can’t wait to show you guys what I’ve been working on the last couple of weeks!

Hint** It has to do with moving day and it will be revealed on the new addition to Beyond Casual B!!!!

STAY TUNED!!!! XOXOXO

Aw I’m sorry you don’t get to spend much time with him during the season! My husband has a job with a similar issue where a couple months I rarely see him. I know how hard it is!

Hello my friend! Welcome back you were missed! I’m sorry your mom was in the middle of those fires. We almost got evacuated where I’m staying at the moment. I hated breathing in all that horrible smoke! I;m glad she was able to come and help you move. I’m sorry you barely get to see your man, I know what that is like. Just keep the faith girl and everything will be alright! Rooting for you!
    Love, Dom

Dont worry darling… every one of us has these phases where we are a bit MIA. For some reason or another. But after a while we all come back stronger and slay… as you did
