My Quick & Easy, Healthy Grilling Recipe!

*This post is sponsored by Adidas, but all opinions and text are my own!*

So hi guys!! Happy game day!!! While I am in New England today for the game, summer is still in full effect in Cali! And I’ve been spending a lot of my days outdoors and by the grill because of it!

You may have also seen some stories on my Instagram of D grilling by our pool before he left for Philly! He’s a MASTER on the grill! No joke!!

He likes to eat really healthy to be in shape for football and I … well, I TRY to eat as healthy as he does! haha! But as you guys know… I do love my sweets! 😉

But 99% of the time you can find meal preps in our fridge, consisting of either chicken or salmon depending on D’s mood! haha! Our favorite thing to put on the grill is a fresh piece of salmon!

There’s just something about salmon that fuels me up for a long day ahead! So I thought I’d share my quick and easy, healthy grilling recipe with you guys!

Especially since D’s in Philly now for training camp and I’m left cooking for myself! 😂

And since he’s been gone, I’ve been visiting LA a lot more just to kill time!

On my last visit, I actually hiked up to the Griffith Observatory!! I’ve been a million times, but I’ve never hiked up there before so I knew I would need a good meal to prepare me! haha! It’s quite the hike if I do say so myself!

So here it is:

First, I season the salmon with garlic salt, black pepper and lemon pepper!

From there, I cut half a lemon and squeeze it onto the salmon and cut the other half into thinner slices so they can go right on top of the piece of salmon!

When it’s me and D, we usually put the whole filet of salmon on the grill, but since it’s just me, I just grill one piece at a time.

So I put my slice of salmon on some aluminum foil and place it on the grill.

I also like to slice up some zucchini and bell peppers for a side and I season them with olive oil, pepper and garlic salt. I then wrap them up real tight in aluminum foil and place those on the grill too! But you can’t forget the seasoned asparagus of course!

We have a gas grill, so I put it on high and usually leave the veggies and slice of salmon on there for about 20-25 minutes! Of course, with any meal you’re making, you’ll want to check on it, but a slice usually gets done in about that time frame! When me and D are making the whole filet, it obviously takes a little longer!

But there you have it! You have a healthy meal, ready to eat in under an hour!

So once I made that, ate, then put on my workout clothes from Adidas, I was ready to go!!

Y’all know I loveeee me some Adidas swag!! haha! Not just because they have SO many cute pieces, but all their stuff just SO comfortable! From their shoes, to jackets, to shirts etc.. it makes an active lifestyle easy! So I just always gravitate towards Adidas!

But after what seemed like hours …

haha! Just kidding! 😉

After getting to the top, the view was COMPLETELY worth it! You could see the Hollywood sign and all of LA! It’s so beautiful up there! And if you’ve never gone before, you need to!! It’s always nice to just take in some nature from time to time!… Even if the Griffith is a major tourist spot! haha!

All in all, I was able to grill a delicious meal in a short amount of time, adventure to one of my favorite places in LA and look good doing it! 😉 I hope!! haha!

I also did a million other things that day too though! Do you guys notice how much energy you have when you eat a healthy meal?? It does wonders!!!

So if you guys have any other fun healthy grilling recipes, send them my way!! I’d LOVE to try yours!!

As always, thanks for reading!! And happy Thursday!!!

What a great post! I love grilled food. I don’t eat chicken, so salmon sounds like a great idea for the next pool party! Thanks for sharing <3
