Happy Saturday y’all!
Me and D are currently on the plane headed back to Houston, so I thought I’d finish this long awaited post about where to stay in Scottsdale, Arizona!
And if you’ve been following along on my Instagram this past week, then you know that we went back to California to spend some time with family!! And to celebrate my birthday a couple weeks early since we won’t be in Cali on the 15th!
It was SO much fun and it fullfilled some much needed quality time too!
We went bowling, mini golfing, had multiple bbq’s, went to the movies, went to the beach, etc!
You name it, we did it! haha!
I’m so lucky that both of our families are in the California!.. Let alone, the Bay Area!
But the day we went to the beach, we also made our way to Union Square and D surprised me with THE most AMAZING early bday present ever!!!.. Maybe I’ll do a blog post on that? What do you guys think? I’m gonna be posting an Insta story later today once we land, showing what he got me, but maybe I’ll do a more in depth blog post about how he surprised me, some additional photos, details about the present that make it the best gift ever etc.Let me know if y’all would be interested in something like that!
ANYWAYYSSSS..
Now that y’all know why I’m on the plane and what we did in Cali, let’s get back to why were really here!!
Y’all know I’ve been talking about how hot it is in Houston (like everyday haha! ), welllll it actually reminded me of when I went to Scottsdale, Arizona a few months ago, so I thought what better time to write about Where To Stay In Scottsdale, Arizona!!.. Especially since I spent majority of my trip at the hotel! haha!
So let’s do this!!
I stayed at Hotel Valley Ho and I couldn’t speak anymore highly about it! Not only is their pool amazing (as you saw from the first photo), they have an AMAZING restaurant, beautiful rooms + suites, a relaxing spa and a ton of special amenities! And don’t even get me started on the staff!
Everyone was SO friendly and truly went above and beyond to make sure my first stay in Scottsdale, Arizona was the best it possibly could be!
I stayed in the Tower Suite, which is 900 sq. ft. + 150 sq. ft. on the balcony and it was EVERYTHING! Below you’ll see that it has a private bar and full kitchen, filled with snacks and beverages, a king-size pillowtop bed, an oversized glass shower, a full-size washer and dryer, a walk-in closet, a huge tv that can rotate to face the living room AND the bedroom and best of all, NO RESORT FEE’S!.. Yep, you heard that right!! NO resort fee’s!! I don’t know about y’all but I can’t standdddd resort fee’s!! It’s like adding on another whole $500-$1000 a trip sometimes!!! So I really liked that Hotel Valley Ho didn’t feel the need to tack on yet ANOTHER expense when you’re just tryin to get your relax & chill on! 😉
But the pool area also has cabanas and daybeds you can rent, games and a bar with food and drink! I mean, that’s probably where you’ll be spending most of your time, so I think Hotel Valley Ho made sure you have everything you would need!
And after a day of swimming, you don’t even have to leave the hotel for dinner! Their restaurant, ZUZU is SOOOO good y’all! And you guys know I don’t just say that about any ol’ restaurant!! They change out their menu’s, but over the course of my stay, I had the french toast, the vanilla churro waffle, crispy calamari + jalapeños, pork belly mac + cheese, seared diver scallops, the steak, the ZUZU fries and the Nashville hot chicken sandwhich! … I obviously stayed more than a couple days! haha!! But all of it was soooo good! And it these were from the breakfast, lunch and dinner menus.
Butttttt….. I’ve saved the best, most delicious menu item of all time for last… and that is their famous milkshake!.. The “Show Stopper” Shake!! The flavor of this shake also gets switched out throughout the year, so I was able to try the Strawberry Shortcake one and boy was it DELICIOUS!!! You can see a photo of this crazy creation below! And people come to Hotel Valley Ho, JUST for the milkshakes!! So that has to tell you something about the taste!
Next is the spa. One morning, I snuck away to get a 60-minute massage and the pro-script facial and it was SOOO relaxing!! I walked out feeling so refreshed and it was the perfect way to start the day!
I really can’t recommend this hotel enough you guys, truly! And I also stayed at two other hotels during my trip to Scottsdale, Arizona, so I definitely have a few places to compare it to!
If you guys are ever in the area and are looking for a fun, chic, hotel, centrally located with a ton of amazing amenities, this is the place!!
And now that I have a bit of downtime for the next couple of weeks, expect to see my London, Philadelphia, New York and Houston travel guides! 🙂 But in the meantime, be sure to check out my guide on Where To Stay In Pasadena, CA and How You Can Have Breakfast At Tiffany’s!
Have a great rest of the weekend y’all!
